While MAGA leadership in Washington gave the House a never-ending vacation, dragging us into the longest shutdown in U.S. history, I spent the month doing what they refuse to do: showing up and serving our communities.
I’ve been talking with families across our district about protecting healthcare, food security, and lowering costs — key issues that MAGA won’t negotiate on. All of this is a bargaining chip to them, and that’s unacceptable to me.
I traveled to Washington in the hopes we could reopen the House and that Republican leadership would negotiate a deal. No one was to be found.
I also joined my 7 million fellow patriots at a No Kings rally to participate in the largest single-day protest in American history. Our message was clear: No one is above the law.

I stood with workers at labor events, engaged deeply with our Latino communities, and partnered with leaders across New Jersey to show that we’re united behind Mikie Sherrill and her fight for affordability, opportunity, and freedom in New Jersey.
