It’s official: We’re now in the middle of the longest government shutdown in American history — with no end in sight.

The cruelty and sheer incompetence of the Republican Party knows no bounds. Federal workers and American servicemembers have worked without pay for over a full month now. But what have we heard from Donald Trump? Update after update on… his repulsive White House ballroom and spending $200 million on private jets for Kristi Noem.

It’s sickening. Just days after throwing a party at Mar-a-Lago — a literal Great Gatsby bash — thousands of kids right here in Colorado don’t know where their next meal will come from. And now he has defied the court order to disperse the SNAP funds they were unlawfully holding - forcing millions of children, seniors, and veterans to go hungry.

Corruption, cruelty, and incompetence are dangerous enough on their own. But when you put them together just like Trump has? The consequences are catastrophic.

Hungry kids. Burnt out national security workers. Donald Trump has cooked up a recipe for disaster — all so he can preserve tax breaks for his billionaire buddies at the expense of everyone else.

Let’s be clear about one thing: Republicans control every branch of government right now. This crisis — the higher costs, the lost coverage, the chaos — it’s theirs. They built it. They own it.

But don’t forget: We still have the power to end the chaos, the corruption, and the cruelty next year. In less than a year, we can flip the House blue and finally steer our country in a better direction than the one we’re in now. That’s how we fix this mess. By electing leaders who will confront Trump’s corruption and cruelty — not turning a blind eye to it.

Now, I’m asking you to join me in this important work. Please, if you’re in a position to give, I hope I can count on your support as we work to reach every last voter we can before next year’s midterms. [[link removed]]
