John,
What a week!
Democrats didn’t just win some elections this past Tuesday — the American people stood up and loudly condemned Trump’s abuse of power and corruption. It was thrilling to see such a diverse and broad coalition uniting to defeat MAGA.
In Florida, Democrat Eileen Higgins advanced to a runoff election for the next mayor of Miami, where a Democrat has not been elected as mayor for 28 years. A fresh head-to-head poll now shows Higgins leading 50-24 against Ron DeSantis-backed Republican Emilio Gonzalez.
Folks are rightly energized. And, finally, insiders are coming around to what we’ve been preaching for a long time: the U.S. Senate race in Florida is in play and Democrats can flip the Senate as soon as the 2026 Midterms.
