The government is shut down, health care premiums are about to go up for Iowans, and thousands of federal workers are losing their jobs.

So where is Republican Rep. Ashley Hinson? Not working to help Iowans. She’s campaigning for a promotion to a bigger office in D.C.

Ashley Hinson is running to replace Joni Ernst as a Republican Senator for Iowa. And while she may want you to think she’s the next big thing, she’s really just Joni Ernst 2.0, and we’ve got the proof.

Current Senator Ernst is retiring after mounting backlash over years of supporting unpopular policies that hurt Iowa families. Now Ashley Hinson wants the job, but she’s carrying the same baggage that tanked Ernst’s standing — and then some:

  • She supports the tariffs that are driving away soybean buyers from Iowa farmers.
  • She’s been silent as D.C. Republicans push a $40 billion bailout for Argentina, further crushing Iowa’s soybean industry.
  • She voted for and touted the GOP’s Big Ugly Bill, even though it will cause 86,000 Iowans to lose health care coverage and risks making 260,000 people who rely on SNAP go hungry.
  • She’s sided with Big Pharma over Iowans about the high cost of insulin.

We see through her act, and we’re making sure Iowans do, too: Ashley Hinson is Ernst’s worst instincts dialed up, with less credibility and more plagiarism (like, actual plagiarism — in an op-ed and on her campaign website).

Help us ensure that across the state, Iowans know where Ashley Hinson stands. We can’t afford a Joni Ernst wannabe in D.C. Chip in now:
