TAKE ACTION NOW: Urge your governor to push back on Trump’s SNAP games and feed hungry Americans now >>
John, Trump is once again choosing to make Americans – including children – go hungry.
Yesterday, a federal judge ordered Trump to fully fund the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). [1]
But instead of doing the right thing and complying, his administration was back in court today demanding a pause on the order – purposefully delaying food assistance for millions right before the holidays. [2]
And it’s not because the money isn’t there. It’s because Trump refuses to use it. [3]
42 million Americans – including parents, veterans, and seniors – rely on SNAP to put food on the table. But to Trump, the “emergency” isn’t that people are starving – it’s that a court dared to make him provide benefits to hungry Americans.
Tell your governor: Hungry Americans can’t afford these political games. Every governor must speak out and pressure the Trump administration to fully fund SNAP now >>
Every day Trump delays using these funds means more children going to bed hungry, more veterans skipping meals, and more seniors wondering how they’ll get through the week.
Right now, some governors are filling the gaps where they can by increasing emergency funding to food banks in their states. [4]
But the simple truth is: while emergency food programs help, they can only provide one meal for every nine that SNAP provides. [5] Without federal funding, our states and food banks simply can’t keep up. [6]
That’s why governors must step up and speak out now. They’re on the front lines – seeing firsthand how families are suffering, how food banks are overwhelmed, and how Trump’s delays are pushing state resources to the brink.
Tell your governor: Pressure Trump to STOP playing games with people’s lives and feed America’s families now >>
Thanks for all you do,
