 Sign the petition: Tell Republicans to end the shutdown and protect affordable and accessible healthcare → Saturday marked the start of open enrollment, and as a result of Republicans' failure to lead, health insurance costs are skyrocketing. This comes at a time when Americans are facing rising costs, and they’re already concerned about losing their healthcare after cuts in Trump's trash budget. Now, they're staring down health insurance plans that are hundreds — if not thousands — of dollars more than last year. I’ve been clear about where I stand: Healthcare needs to be more affordable, not less. I’m ready to reach a deal that reopens the government, protects affordable healthcare, and delivers a better quality of life for hardworking Americans. But Republicans refuse to negotiate, and House Republicans haven’t even been to work in DC in over a month! That’s not what putting the American people first looks like. I’m calling on my Republican colleagues to come to the table and get a deal done to end this shutdown — and I need you standing with me.
