I was on MSNBC yesterday to talk about the unacceptable failure of a Republican-controlled government that is prioritizing political games over the American people.

The heart of this issue often gets lost. It all can seem like a big power struggle.

The real question is: “What do the American people want us to do?”

We’ve seen from the elections results on Tuesday that people are fed up with the current administration.

I’m doing everything in my power to fight back. I remain ready and willing to work across the aisle to negotiate a deal that reopens the government while also keeping healthcare affordable and accessible.
