Hey y’all — it’s Kendall here, I’m heading the team at Texas Dems on finding ways to win seats for Democrats here in Texas, everywhere we can.
On Tuesday, my job as TDP Chair took me out to the polls — voting, talking with neighbors, watching people show up for their communities. It reminded me what this work is really about.
This year’s elections here in Texas might not have grabbed national headlines, but make no mistake: the energy on the ground was real. And what we build off that momentum over the next 365 days will determine what kind of future we’re fighting for in 2026 — and beyond.
Texas Republicans are well-funded, well-coordinated, and relentless. But we have something they don’t: a movement fueled by real people, organizing block by block, school board by school board, and county by county.
I believe in that kind of power, just like I believe in the Democratic Party of Texas. And I believe in you — the kinds of folks who’ve made it clear that you’re not giving up on Texas.
From the early-morning voters to the last-minute lunch break ballots — this is what democracy looks like. The energy in Tarrant County was palpable!!
Over the next year, we’ll be talking about the big work ahead. In fact, next week we’re launching one of our most ambitious vote-by-mail programs yet — so stay tuned. But for now, I’m just asking:
Will you commit to the next 365 days? Will you show up in whatever way you can and help us build something powerful? Are you with me, y’all?
We’re building a Texas Democratic Party that’s energized, organized, and ready to win. And it starts with all of us, right now. I’m ready. Are you?
LFG,
— Kendall
P.S. If you’re fired up too — share it. Forward this email to a friend, a precinct chair, or a neighbor who needs a reminder that change is possible and ask them to join our movement here. One year out starts now.
