Dear Friend,

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) just announced that 40 major airports will cut flights, with multiple airports in Texas set to be impacted, because of the government shutdown.

I understand how frustrating these disruptions are for families and businesses.

Airports in Houston and Dallas are struggling because of staff shortages. Folks are enduring three-hour long security lines, causing many to miss their flights. I am doing everything I can to make sure that travelers do not experience the same delays at San Antonio International Airport.

And let me say this—the silence from conservatives is loud. Governor Greg Abbott is quick to enact policies that support Trump, but he has not called for the president to end the shutdown.

Are you worried about travel disruptions?

I want to hear from you. Please share your thoughts with me.

It is important to me that San Antonians are able to safely get to where they need to be. It’s also important to me that people have healthcare that they can afford. That’s why I’m calling on President Trump and Republicans to restore air travel, work with us to end the shutdown and lower the cost of healthcare.

I will keep fighting for everyday Texans.

That's all for today.

I know there is a lot going on, so if you’d like to stay up to date on what I am up to, follow me on XInstagramFacebookYouTubeThreads, and BlueSky.

Sincerely,
