Governor Mark Gordon will be Joined by Governor Spencer Cox for Unleashing American Energy Discussion at Wyoming Business Alliance Annual Governor’s Forum
Governor’s Forum Keynote: “Wyoming at a Crossroads: What is an Essential Budget?”
CHEYENNE, Wyo., Nov. 7, 2025 – Governor Mark Gordon (R-WY) will be joined by Governor Spencer Cox (R-UT) for a fireside chat entitled “The Policies, Practices, and Principles Necessary for Unleashing American Energy” during the 42nd Annual Wyoming Business Alliance (WBA) Governor’s Business Forum, Weds., Nov 12, 1:40-2:40 p.m. at the University of Wyoming. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 8 Administrator Cyrus Western will facilitate the panel-style discussion.
Governors Gordon and Cox are recognized regional and national energy policy leaders. Last April the two governors, joined by Governor Brad Little (R-ID) to formalize their states' longstanding energy collaboration commitment by signing a memorandum of understanding aimed at making power grids more resilient, advocating for federal support of regional energy priorities and coordinating on infrastructure development. Governor Cox chairs the Western Governors Association and is leading his initiative “Energy Superabundance: Unlocking Prosperity in the West” to address growing demand with an emphasis on regional, bipartisan cooperation.
During the two-day forum, Governor Gordon will also provide his keynote address, entitled “Wyoming at a Crossroads: What is an Essential Budget?” Thurs., Nov. 13, 11 a.m.- 12N at the University of Wyoming. Following his remarks WBA President Renny Mackay will join the governor on stage to discuss economic growth policy, empowering local communities and families, maintaining Cowboy state culture while growing private sector opportunity, energy dominance, innovations in education, job creation, and mental wellness.
