I didn’t sign up to serve our country and put on the uniform to serve a king, friend.
I raised my right hand and swore an oath to protect our Constitution and defend democracy at home and abroad. What we’re seeing right now is the erosion of American democracy. Donald Trump has deployed American troops against their fellow citizens and to police U.S. streets, sowing chaos, fear, and division. He’s even signaled that he’s considered invoking the Insurrection Act, a drastic measure to further his authoritarian rule. These aren’t the acts of a democratically elected president, these are the actions of a dictator. If you are concerned about the state of our country, then the immediate check we have on this runaway presidency is to elect Democrats to the House who will stand up to this extremism. I’ve been leading up efforts to find and recruit the next generation of Democratic Party leaders. Over the next year, I’ll be traveling to battleground districts across the country to support a new generation of leaders who have the energy, vigor, and experience to stand up to this authoritarian administration and help us flip the House blue.
