Hi John,
If we don’t take action now, Trump’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) may succeed in proposing to repeal a rule that places drilling, mining, and grazing over conservation. This means that our public lands would fall into the destructive hands of oil and gas, and other extractive industries. The public comment period closes on Monday, November 10th at 2 pm PT . Will you take action to protect our public lands and conservation? [[link removed]]

The Conservation and Landscape Health Rule — that is at risk of being repealed — states conservation is a “use” equal to drilling, mining, and grazing, ultimately protecting our public lands. By repealing this rule, conservation, protecting water resources and wildlands, then becomes a second-class consideration to drilling, mining, and grazing.
As recent data shows, around 80% of BLM lands are already open to oil and gas leasing; a number that would surely increase if this rule is overturned. That’s not something I want to imagine.

Americans love our public lands. There is immense bipartisan support for protecting them. It’s an issue that unites us, because we all have a connection to these special places. Our public lands also benefit our ecosystems, wildlife, and economy.
If we don’t value conservation on the same level as drilling, mining, and grazing, we may very well lose our precious public lands. Take action now before 2pm on Monday, November 10th to protect conservation! [[link removed]]
Thank you for supporting our public lands,
