Content warning: This email discusses violence and sexual assault. Please read with care.
When gang violence came to her neighborhood, 18-year-old Jeanette fled her home with her aunt and toddler, hoping to find a safe place for her family.
But before she could escape, she was caught by attackers and raped. Nine months later, Jeanette said, “I gave birth on the ground at the camp with the help of a woman. She is still asking me for money because I couldn't pay her."
Jeanette's tragic experience is all too common in her home country of Haiti, where 1 million people have been displaced by a spiraling crisis of gang violence, hunger, sexual violence, disease outbreaks, and most recently, Hurricane Melissa — robbing women and girls of their future and pushing them to “a point of no return.”
Supporters like you have delivered essential care to women and girls in the most neglected emergencies, like Haiti. But without more support soon, we will be forced to halt services for 50,000 women and girls and 19,000 survivors of violence each month. Please, will you rush a lifesaving gift today for women and girls surviving the crisis in Haiti and around the world? [[link removed]?]

This UNFPA-supported mobile clinic serves displaced families in Port-au-Prince, including breastfeeding and pregnant women.
Donor support is keeping these vital services available. Thanks to supporters’ gifts, we are:
* Supporting 4 UNFPA Safe Spaces in the Port-au-Prince area for survivors of rape, abuse, exploitation, and trafficking. Recent gang violence has forced three of these spaces to close, but thanks to your support, we have been able to relocate them.
* Deploying UNFPA Mobile Health Clinics to displacement camps and neighborhoods cut off from care by violence. These clinics provide many reproductive health services, including family planning consultations and resources, prenatal checkups, and safe delivery care.
* Dispatching midwives and distributing UNFPA Dignity Kits with menstrual health supplies to women and girls in need.
* Operating a hotline for survivors of violence, so they can report crimes and get information on where to find help.
But needs are escalating and we urgently need your support to scale up relief efforts for women and girls in Haiti, especially those rebuilding their lives in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa.
Will you please make a gift to women and girls surviving the world’s most neglected crises? Our response in Haiti is 90% unfunded and critical lifelines for women and girls are at risk. [[link removed]?]
