Last week, the Democrats in the Ohio Legislature showed that, even in the minority in both Houses, our unified power against Republicans can accomplish a lot.
 
While Republicans in Congress’ refusal to come to the table to end the federal government shutdown has caused funding federal funding for SNAP benefits to expire, Ohio Democrats in the legislature banded together to force Governor Mike DeWine to sign an Executive Order providing up to $25 million for food assistance to affected Ohioans.
 
Ohio’s children, mothers, veterans and families should not have to wonder whether they will be able to put food on their tables.
























































This is, once again, proof that Democrats still have strength in our numbers. And the more our numbers grow, the more negotiating power we have, even in the minority.













Next year, we have several competitive seats that, given the results of Tuesday’s election, show that with the right momentum, we can gain even more power.
