New Jerseyans from every corner of this state made their voices heard this week and elected our Mikie Sherrill to be our next governor, alongside our next lieutenant governor Dr. Dale Caldwell, and a powerful majority in our state assembly. Mikie didn’t just win – she won with a whopping 13 points, sending Jack Ciatterelli packing for a third time and a powerful message to Donald Trump that his MAGA agenda is not welcome in Jersey.

Under Governor-elect Sherrill’s leadership, New Jersey will move forward and breathe easier, offering greater opportunity to its residents and creating a much needed firewall to protect us from the damaging policies coming out of Washington DC. She will be a trusted listener and fearless fighter for all families. And she’s already hitting the ground running, building her transition team and getting to work.

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this victory possible. Your time knocking doors, making phone calls, and rallying your communities made the difference. Not only will we have an amazing governor leading the way, Democrats now have the largest caucus in the Assembly since 1973. We flipped counties and districts like LD-8, 21, and 25 blue that many counted out as forever red.

Let’s build off the success of this election and head into 2026 energized and ready to take back the House of Representatives and elect more Democratic leaders up and down the ballot that will deliver for our state and country.
