Dear Neighbor,

Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, I unfortunately have to cancel my annual Senior Fair that was scheduled for Thursday, November 13th at Pico Park in Pico Rivera.

I know many of you look forward to this event each year as an opportunity to connect with local resources and services that support our seniors. Please know that I remain committed to rescheduling the fair at a later date once the government is reopened and a long-term funding bill is in place.

If you need help or would like information on senior services in our community, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly. My office will remain open during the shutdown and will continue to be available to assist you with any issue.

Debido al cierre continuo del gobierno federal, desafortunadamente debo cancelar mi Feria Anual para Personas Mayores, que estaba programada para el Jueves 13 de Noviembre en Pico Park, en Pico Rivera.

Sé que muchos de ustedes esperan con entusiasmo este evento cada año por la oportunidad desconectarse con recursos y servicios locales que apoyan a nuestros adultos mayores. Quiero que sepan que sigo comprometida con reprogramar la feria para una fecha futura, una vez que se reabre el gobierno y se apruebe una ley de financiamiento a largo plazo.

Si necesita ayuda o desea obtener información sobre servicios para personas mayores en nuestra comunidad, no dude en comunicarse directamente con nosotros. Mi oficina permanecerá abierta durante el cierre del gobierno y continuará disponible para asistirle con cualquier asunto.
