We did it, John!
On election day Tuesday, voters across the state (and the nation!) showed up to reject far-right extremism and create positive change in their communities. Texans sent a clear message at the ballot box to those who've been working to stoke fear and division: Enough.
We are especially excited to announce the slate of pro-public education candidates we endorsed in Cy-Fair ISD, Lesley Guilmart, Dr. Cleveland Lane, Jr., and Kendra Camarena, swept their elections! The previous far-right majority, backed by deep-pocketed political groups, banned books, gutted librarian positions, imposed anti-LGBTQIA+ policies, and prioritized political pandering over student success. Cy-Fair voters showed up Tuesday and took the power back, ensuring the district's 100,000+ students can get a truthful education in a safe, welcoming classroom where they can be their full selves.
As we celebrate Cy-Fair ISD and the many other victories we saw this week, TFN remains as committed as ever to mobilizing communities across Texas to reject extremism, protect public education, and defend our rights. If you're able, I hope you'll support our continued work with a donation.
