Hi John,
Voters across the country went to the polls this week — and we have a lot to celebrate!
🎉 In California, voters passed Proposition 50, which will protect fair representation by responding to the Republicans’ unprecedented and coordinated assault on our democracy in states like Texas. Your support helped fund Voto Latino’s ad campaign to reach Latinos and mobilize them to vote YES on Prop 50.
🎉 In New York City, voters elected Zohran Mamdani to become the city’s first Indian and Muslim American mayor, showing what can happen when young and diverse voters come together for change.
🎉 In New Jersey, Mikie Sherrill was elected to be the state’s first Democratic woman governor. Latinos, who make up 20% of the electorate in New Jersey, played a pivotal role in this historic outcome.
🎉 In Virginia, Abigail Spanberger became the first woman elected governor, marking a milestone for representation and leadership for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Voters sent a clear message that the country is heading in the wrong direction under President Trump and Republican leadership. Now, as we look ahead to the midterms, we have an urgent opportunity to build on these victories.
Voto Latino is working around the clock right now to invest early in target states, register thousands of new voters, and mobilize more Latinos than ever before. Will you donate now to power our outreach?
