Things We Are Tracking for You

They are now on record:

The Michigan State House passed State Representative Gina Johnsen’s House Resolution 195 on record roll call vote. This is 

"A resolution to oppose the proposed Michigan Health Education Standards Framework and urge the Michigan Department of Education to redraft or the Michigan State Board of Education to reject these standards."  

This means that Democrats and Republicans are now on record on whether they oppose or support sexualizing our children at young ages and indoctrinating with political ideologies that parents may not agree with! 

Unfortunately, the Democrats did not stand for the protection of children. We would welcome a change of heart from them on this important topic!  We are grateful for the men and women in leadership who are taking a stand to expose this agenda in Michigan! This resolution was a wonderful first step.

Education update:

• The Michigan State Board of Education will hold their next State Board meeting on Thursday, November 13 and it's anticipated they will vote on the new Health Standards. We look forward to seeing you there. Please come and make your voice heard - Thank you!

• The Michigan Oversight Committee under the leadership of Representative Jay DeBoyer is subpoenaing records from the State Board of Education  

• We had over 120 people register for our Education Activists Zoom Briefing. Many of the attendees were elected leaders. We were grateful to host it alongside our friend and colleague Katie Bussard with Salt & Light Global on Monday. You can join the next one by signing up here.

There is a groundswell happening. People do not want the government schools to take the role of parents and to teach children inappropriate content. The momentum is inspiring. 

Please continue to speak up and do the following as soon as possible: 

• Send friendly, respectful emails to the State Board, the Interim Superintendent and the INCOMING Superintendent.

Transgender Discussion at Michigan State Capitol:

What has been in darkness is now being exposed, thanks to Chairman Luke Meerman and champion State Representative Brad Paquette.  

The House Oversight Committee on Child Welfare had several people come to testify whose lives have been deeply, tragically impacted by transgender surgeries.  

In a social media post, Chairman Meerman said, “We heard gut wrenching testimony on the unintended consequences of gender affirming care on minor children. It is unconscionable that medical professionals are encouraging children to make lifelong decisions on their health. I am grateful for those who testified before the committee to share the impact that has been had on their lives.”  

This is why we fight so hard – children deserve our protection and care, not lies from people who do not have their best interest at heart.

Campaign school a great success! 

We had over 28 leaders and candidates that joined us for a day full of powerful sessions on Saturday, November 1. Special thanks to Josh Emerick with Leadership Institute for joining us.

You would be encouraged by these men and women who are seeking wisdom in how to be in this arena, with excellence. We heard great feedback and we too walked away inspired.
