Also called Red Flag Laws, ERPOs let courts temporarily remove guns from people who may harm themselves or others. The page explains how these laws work to keep communities safe.

*Attorney General Nessel Warns Michigan Residents of Smishing Text Threatening License and Registration Suspension [ [link removed] ]
*Attorney General Dana Nessel warns about fake texts claiming to be from the “State of Michigan Department of Vehicles.” The State of Michigan has no such department. The scam claims you owe a ticket and must pay now. Don’t click links or share info—delete the text and report it to 7726 (SPAM).
