John, After sitting in Congress for thirty-eight years, Nancy Pelosi yesterday announced she is finally retiring. Pelosi has been a major opponent of term limits. Slowly but surely our movement to limit congressional terms in office is winning. Over the last couple of weeks since we announced the our new bipartisan national co-chairs, Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and retired member of Congress for Maryland Democrat David Trone, interest in term limits has exploded. The American people now see that we have a clear path to getting term limits. They like the idea that we are going around Congress and directly to the states. I believe opponents of term limits on Capitol Hill see the writing on the wall, too. We will have more historic announcements about term limits in the coming weeks.
