Ahead of the summer break, a special European Council will take place in Brussels this week, giving EU leaders another chance to come to an agreement on the recovery package and the next long-term budget. Another leaders summit will take place on Wednesday, between the EU and India. Meanwhile, at ministerial level, the Council will focus on the EU’s relations with Turkey and the priorities of the German presidency. MEPs are to take part in committee meetings this week, featuring discussions and votes on the rule of law, gender equality, the European Climate Law, and the export of arms.
