Friend,
Every patient deserves to feel safe when they walk into a doctor’s office.
But for far too many, including more than 200 brave survivors who’ve come forward in Massachusetts alone, that trust has been broken. They were abused during sensitive medical procedures.
That’s why Congresswoman Lori Trahan just introduced the Protect Patients from Healthcare Abuse Act — a bill that establishes clear, nationwide standards to ensure patients are fully informed, protected by trained chaperones during sensitive procedures, and never left vulnerable to abuse again.
Will you add your name to our petition to show your support for this commonsense, survivor-led bill? [[link removed]]

This legislation is personal. It was written in response to courageous survivors who came forward to expose a system that failed them. It would:
* Require providers to notify patients of their rights,
* Establish national informed consent standards,
* Guarantee access to trained chaperones during sensitive procedures,
* And ensure chaperones are trained to recognize and prevent abuse.
These are basic protections, but they’re missing in far too many clinics across the country. Lori is fighting to change that, with survivors and advocates leading the way.
