Corporate head taxes, social media fees, and Trump blame games  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Friend,

Mayor Brandon Johnson just dropped a $16.6 BILLION budget he claims will “protect Chicago” by targeting Trump’s tax cuts and soaking employers with new fees.

He’s blaming conservatives for the $1.19 billion deficit. His fix? $438 million in new taxes and fees. Not spending cuts. Not reform. Just more taxes.

Here’s what he’s pushing:

  • A $21 per employee monthly “head tax” on companies with 100+ workers

  • A new “social media tax” on every user of Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and X

  • A 14% “cloud tax” hike on tech services

  • New taxes on rideshares, boats, online betting (his frenemy JB might not like this one!), and more

It’s a dangerous grab bag of progressive schemes that punish success and threaten jobs.

These taxes don’t just hit businesses. They hit all of us with higher prices, fewer jobs, more families squeezed.

TAKE A STAND

Thank you in advance,
