Governor Lamont Statement on Federal Court Order That President Trump Must Deliver Full SNAP Benefits [[link removed]]

Posted on November 6, 2025

(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Ned Lamont released the following statement regarding the federal court decision released this afternoon ordering President Donald Trump to fully fund SNAP benefits:

“It is clear and the courts have ruled, the Trump administration must fully fund SNAP and they need to do it now. It is unacceptable to use Americans and their access to food as political pawns. Until this is resolved, Connecticut is continuing to make contingency plans to ensure that no family goes hungry because of Washington’s dysfunction. Any further delay by the federal government in these payments is not only unlawful, it is simply immoral. These families need this funding now.”
