Missouri GOP proposes misleading ballot language to thwart redistricting referendum 

  • More than 200,000 Missourians have signed a petition supporting a ballot referendum to block Republicans’ new gerrymandered congressional map – while GOP officials are working to thwart them at every turn.

  • Secretary of State Denny Hoskins (R) submitted deeply biased proposed ballot language for the measure. The language tells voters that the GOP gerrymander, which would eliminate a majority-Black seat in Kansas City, “better reflects statewide voting patterns.”
