A Grand Day at Our New Office

The momentum is building! I enjoyed visiting with an energized and enthused group of Minnesotans Saturday at our campaign office’s grand opening in Hermantown. We are excited this year to be partnering with Trump Victory Minnesota, whose field office will be an active planning center for grassroots campaigning throughout the 8th District for my campaign, as well as for President Trump, Jason Lewis, and numerous state Senate and House candidates – all of who are joining me to fight for our way of life. Together, we'll turn Minnesota red!

A Patriotic Way to Celebrate Our Birthday

While it looked a little different this year, due to restrictions resulting from the pandemic, we celebrated our great nation’s Independence Day last weekend. Last year, we celebrated America’s birthday at numerous parades and community festivals across the 8th Congressional District, including Gilbert, Aurora, Ely, Crosby-Ironton, Walker, Nisswa, Pequot Lakes, Brainerd, Cloquet, Hillman, Park Rapids, Longville, Tower, Eveleth, Hill City, and Bock. There were few parades this year, due to the governor’s executive orders, but we still gathered in Ely for a Patriotic March, where I joined a large group of patriotic Minnesotans to celebrate America’s birthday. It was great to see so many friends there!

Minneapolis City Council Seeks Own Security while Defunding the Police

Check out my recent visit with Fox & Friends, highlighting the tremendous hypocrisy being shown by members of the Minneapolis City Council. While a veto-proof majority of council members is calling for the abolishment of the Minneapolis Police Department, they are spending taxpayer money to fund their own security. Their calls to defund police can’t be taken seriously. As a father and husband, 23-year police officer, and member of Congress from our great state, we now, more than ever, need law enforcement to keep our communities safe. Trade Agreement Puts American Workers First

When we put American workers first, we will win every time. Last week, our trade agreement with Mexico and Canada went into effect. The trade agreement – which includes lifting the steel and aluminum tariffs – will benefit Minnesota workers in many sectors, but consider what it means to our farmers, miners, manufacturers, and those in the medical industry. Fifty-one percent of Minnesota’s total agriculture and agri-food exports flow to Canada and Mexico. In addition to agriculture, the machinery, manufacturing, medical, and mining industries account for the vast majority of Minnesota’s North American exports. This is what unleashing the economic engine looks like!
