Team, right now, 3.5 million Texans — including 1.7 million children — are losing their SNAP benefits. I am pissed at this administration for putting the needs of our families last — and even angrier that Greg Abbott lets him.

Texas Democrats are showing up around the state to host food drives, provide resources, and volunteer so our families don’t go hungry. We’ll continue to keep you updated on the situation and are fighting hard to offer relief.

But for now, I wanted to send around some critical resources. If you or someone you know is facing paused SNAP benefits or needs help navigating this time — please share these resources:

  • Find your local food bank:
    • https://squaremeals.org/Public-Resources/Texas-Food-Banks
  • For emergency food distribution, emergency housing, and other assistance:
    • Dial 2-1-1
    • Or visit https://www.211texas.org/

We’ll get through this together.

More soon,

Kendall

We are the Texas Dems. We're protecting Texans from Republican extremists and their unending stream of misinformation statewide. Let's be clear, Texas Republicans have drawn district lines to choose the voters they want, and D.C. Republicans have poured tens of millions of dollars in dark money into Texas. We are on the front lines of pushing back against their influence with voters.

Taking Texas back from extremist Republicans is going to take all of us.
Will you chip in now to help us elect Democrats who will work hard to represent all Texans, and not just the wealthy few?
