Dear John,
With just a week to go, we’d love to invite you to Women, AI, and Economic Opportunity, happening Nov. 13 at 3 pm EST.
There’s a lot of talk right now about the risks and fears surrounding AI. But sometimes that conversation can leave very little room for us to consider how AI might support women and survivors with their health, work, leadership, creativity, and capacity - if we engage with it intentionally. |

AI is already reshaping how we communicate, collaborate, and make decisions. Yet research shows women are using AI tools at much lower rates than men - a gap that could have real implications for women’s advancement and economic opportunity. So we’re approaching this conversation differently — with curiosity, reflection, and grounded possibility.
We'll be watching two short videos, reflecting, and then hearing from AI experts, including:
- Shubhi Rao, Founder of Uplevyl, a tech company creating female-forward technology
- Renée Cummings, Professor of Practice in Data Science at the University of Virginia’s School of Data Science
- Konstanze Frischen, Managing Director and co-lead of Aspen Digital
- Ana Lόpez van Balen, Vice President of Economic Security & Opportunity at FUTURES
- Esta Soler, President and Founder of FUTURES
This is not about hype or urgency. It’s about creating space to think before the future moves around us.
We would love to have you in the room.
Sincerely,
Ana Van Balen
