John, 75% of Americans oppose Citizens United. But instead of just complaining, we actually have a plan to make it irrelevant and are on the ground to make it happen.

Are you skeptical? That’s fair. Let me explain how we know this is going to work:

The Citizens United decision closed the door on using campaign finance reform to limit corporate influence in our politics, and that’s been the major hurdle preventing every effort to reclaim our elections.

That’s why we’re taking a different approach.

Instead of using campaign finance law, we’re using corporation law to revoke corporations' political spending powers as non-human entities. And history is on our side, with two centuries of Supreme Court rulings working in our favor.

Here's what it boils down to: corporations are not people. We can pass a ballot initiative that will enshrine that fact in the Montana state constitution.

CONTRIBUTE

Which brings us to your next question: why start in Montana?

Put simply: if we get on the ballot here, we will win.

Montana has a storied history of fighting back against corruption from corporations. We hadn’t even been a state for 20 years before we made our first major push back against undue corporate influence over our economy, government, and even the press. Generations of Montanans have consistently worked across the aisle to push back against overreach by the ultra-wealthy.

But Montana is just the first domino in a larger vision: once Montanans pass it here in Big Sky Country, we will have a precedent — a powerful blueprint that will help us bring our solution to all 49 other states. We’re already fielding calls from across the nation, so yours could be next!

CONTRIBUTE

So, what’s next? Why are we fundraising?

I know you probably get a lot of emails and texts asking for money. I get them too, so I know how you feel. That's why I want to make sure we tell you exactly what we're doing and where your donations go.

We’ve officially filed our ballot initiative language with the state, and are meeting with thousands of supporters, both in-person and virtually across the country to talk about The Montana Plan.

Once our paperwork is accepted, we’re collecting 100,000 signatures to qualify for the 2026 ballot. We’ll be lacing up our boots and knocking on doors every day until we reach our goal.

That’s why I’m here, in your inbox, asking for a contribution to The Montana Plan. A year from now, we could be in the throes of GOTV (Get Our The Vote) season to get this passed, but for that to happen, we need your support right now. John, are you with us? Make a contribution today:

COUNT ME IN!

Working towards a future that is of the people, by the people, and for the people, not the billionaires,
