John, I got my start in politics running for office right where I grew up: Nash County. I wanted the folks in my home area of Nashville and Rocky Mount, NC and beyond to have the strongest possible advocate in their corner in Raleigh. I was able to win because of the people who knew me, believed in me, and trusted me to do right by them.

Now, I’m running for the U.S. Senate — and a lot has changed from that first campaign. I also have experience running in tough, hard-fought statewide races. I’ve had the privilege of serving our state as Governor and Attorney General. And while statewide campaigns don’t give me as many opportunities to meet with as many individual people as I did in that first election, getting to know folks personally — and earning their trust — is still at the heart of this campaign.

John, even if we don’t get to meet face to face, I want you to get to know me and to trust me to represent the American people in the U.S. Senate. So if you have any questions for me, I’d love to hear from you. And if you keep an eye on emails from our team, you’ll see my answers to a few select questions — maybe yours!

If you click here, you can ask me a question or two, but they don’t only have to be about politics. Favorite BBQ joint, my thoughts on the ongoing Carolina Hurricanes season, that’s fair game too. I’d be glad to hear from you.

Looking forward to seeing your questions,

Roy Cooper
