Day 291

It’s Day 291 of President Trump’s second term. No one has lost their Social Security, Medicare, or veterans’ benefits in spite of constant media and leftist lies.

Election Fallout

We just had an election where left-wing Democrats in New Jersey and Virginia won by landslides. I guarantee a lot of the people here in Virginia, where I live, didn’t know they were voting for a radical social agenda. But they’ll find out pretty quick.

When you vote for leftist Democrats to run your state or city, don’t think that you’re just going to get more focus on healthcare and welfare because they’re nicer people with more empathy. Wherever the Left has control, they force on us bizarre, radical policies that hurt your children and grandchildren.

Democrat leaders support men and boys going into girls’ bathrooms and showers, and girls going into boys’ bathrooms and showers, in the name of transgenderism.

They want radical sex education forced on young children. Right now, Michigan Democrats are trying to abandon abstinence-based sex education and teach eight-year-olds how to have sex. Other left-wing school districts are forcing transgender ideology on kindergartners!

They’re also teaching our children anti-American history and hatred for Israel.

They want abortions in the ninth month of pregnancy, and they subsidize these abortions with your tax money. Leftist politicians in Virginia are pushing a radical pro-abortion constitutional amendment. A leading group behind the amendment wants to eliminate “Medically unnecessary restrictions like arbitrary week limits.”

Then they go even further. They’ll take your daughter for an abortion and won’t even tell you. In some states, Democrat teachers hide girls’ clothes at school for confused boys to change into so they can be girls. And they won’t even tell you about it.

They think your children belong to the government, and they get to decide if you’re a suitable parent. In fact, they’re so hostile to parental rights, they will even use your faith against you.

These leftist Democrats are insane!

In his victory speech, New York City’s newly elected mayor, Zohran Mamdani, declared, “There is no problem too large for government to solve, and no concern too small for it to care about.”

You know what that means! Government bureaucrats will be monitoring everything you do to make sure you do it exactly as you’re told.

Bannon’s Warning

Steve Bannon is not right about everything, but he’s right about a lot. He was one of the first drivers of the MAGA movement and has a far better grasp on the grassroots than most overpriced Beltway consultants.

I warned yesterday that it would be a mistake to underestimate Mamdani and other populist leftists like him. Bannon agrees. In an interview with Politico, he said:

“There should be even more than alarm bells. There should be flashing red lights all over. . . You’re going to see a whole new group of Mamdanis in these major urban cities because they’re just flooded with immigrants, right? That’s where his vote came from, principally, and the progressive left, these kids have come up through the public school system.”

He’s absolutely right. Our cities have been flooded with immigrants and highly “educated” (indoctrinated) youth. That combination is taking over the cities of America, and the implications for conservatives are enormous.

Bannon made another important point. Mikie Sherrill and Abigail Spanberger had one theme: “Stop Trump. He’s responsible for everything that’s gone wrong. He’s a dictator. We’ve got to stop him.”

What was the main Republican theme of Winsome Earle-Sears and Jack Ciattarelli?

They ran conventional campaigns. Earle-Sears bragged about good things she and Governor Glenn Youngkin accomplished over the past four years. She brought up the transgender issue and the Democrats’ text message scandal. Ciattarelli argued that Democrats were responsible for high energy bills.

And what was the result of that juxtaposition? Dems running against Trump brought out huge numbers of their base and any left-leaning independents. The Trump base did not fully turn out because they did not hear GOP candidates saying what they could have said: “Look, New Jersey under Sherrill will be at war with the president of the United States. That’s not good for New Jersey.”

Now both Republicans may still have lost because even Trump lost those states. But they wouldn’t have lost by 15 points. When you lose by 15 points, you’re at the tender mercies of the radical left. The Virginia race swept many new leftists into the state legislature.

But the idea that Republicans can run away from Trump is not going to work. We’ve seen it over and over again. If he’s on the ballot directly or figuratively, we have a decent chance. If he isn’t, we lose.

The Schumer Shutdown

It’s Day 37 of the Schumer Shutdown, the longest government shutdown in history, and there’s no end in sight.

There were rumors last week that Senate Democrats were holding out to see how Tuesday’s elections would go. If they went well, as they did, some thought Democrats would feel they could reopen the government without too much blowback from their radical base. So, a preliminary deal was falling into place.

Then the elections happened, and now the radical Left is emboldened. Progressives in both the House and the Senate went berserk at the idea of reopening the government. Instead of reasonable requests, they’re now demanding big concessions in any legislation to fund and reopen the government.

They believe their victories this week showed that these issues—healthcare and the government shutdown—are killing the GOP, and they’re getting a huge assist from the fake news media. Even though Democrat leaders have admitted that families are suffering, they’re more than happy to let the pain continue.

And continue it will. The FAA just announced that it has been forced to limit flights at 40 major airports because more and more air traffic controllers are calling out “sick.” They use those “sick days” to do other work so they can pay their bills. This could impact 4,000 flights every day.

So, if you don’t have a plane available, you can thank Chuck Schumer.

By the way, Republicans are not ignoring healthcare issues. Today, President Trump announced another major deal to lower drug prices.

Apples & Oranges

Sadly, there is a lot of uninformed “commentating” going on by people who just don’t know what they’re talking about. On Fox News this morning, they were discussing the incredible statistic that 84% of women ages 18 to 29 and 67% of men ages 18 to 29 voted for Mamdani.

Then the conversation turned to this point: “We know we can win these voters because Trump won them last year, so we can get them back.” That analysis is wrong in so many ways.

Trump did very well among 18-29-year-olds across America. But he did not win 18–29-year-olds in New York City last year. Being 18-29-years-old in New York City is entirely different than being 18–29-years-old in Nashville or Pittsburgh. The population of New York is increasingly foreign-born, and even more so among the young.

So, no, we’re not going to get those voters “back.”

What we need to worry about is not losing the young voters in the rest of the country. They need to know that the American Dream is still possible.

Muslims For Mamdani

It’s no secret that Muslims in New York City were cheering Mamdani’s victory. But Islamic leaders in the Middle East were celebrating, too. Here’s one Qatari journalist’s analysis of Tuesday’s election:

“What is happening in the U.S. is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the outcomes of [the October 7th attacks]. The American public has understood—after many long years of imposed slumber, in which Zionism played a role—that supporting injustice and oppression is a moral failure. . .

“It is thanks to this understanding that a Muslim candidate who opposes the Zionist aggression won the mayoral race in New York.”

So, this Muslim journalist in the Middle East thinks the Hamas atrocities of October 7, 2023, elected Zohran Mamdani. I don’t often agree with Qatari journalists, but I think there’s some truth to it. I think you can make a logical case that Mamdani’s meteoric political rise in New York City has its roots on October 7, 2023.

Within hours of those deadly attacks against Israeli civilians, including babies and elderly women, and long before Israel entered Gaza, radical Islamists in every major Western city, including New York City, took to the streets.

There was a horrific explosion of antisemitism on our university campuses and in the streets. Jews were being hunted down on and off campus. Hate crimes against Jews skyrocketed.

Zohran Mamdani emerged as a leader of this tidal wave of antisemitism. I believe he has ridden it the entire way to becoming mayor of New York City. His own advisers actually admit it.

He is part of the same mob—left-wing “progressive” youth, including many foreign students, marching in the streets with Islamists, sharing one thing in common: a hatred of the United States, Israel, and Judeo-Christian civilization.

Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, called Mamdani’s election a “clear and present danger” to the Jewish residents of New York City. Many New Yorkers feel the same way, and the exodus from the Big Apple has begun.
