They stood for us. Now our gratitude can become shelter, hope and healing.

Hi Friend,
I’ve always wondered what it really takes to start over, after serving your country. The hardest part for many veterans is finding steady ground back home. Greg's story begins there:
After serving in the Army and the Gulf War, Greg was working back home in construction when his life was derailed by addiction. He lost his job, his home and his connection with his children.
Then one day, Greg bravely walked through VOA's doors. It was a game-changer. With safe housing, recovery support and people who believed in him, he began rebuilding. Today, Greg is sober, studying to become an electrician and reconnecting with his family. |
That’s Greg now—steady, hopeful and working hard—all thanks to the generosity of friends like you.
Help change lives this Veterans Day>
But the truth is, not every veteran gets that chance. Thousands of veterans across the country are sleeping in cars, behind buildings, under bridges. On any given night, nearly 33,000 heroes have no home—and the number is rising as funding for homeless programs falls short and housing costs climb.
That’s where you make all the difference. Your generosity has always shown up where it’s needed most -- and it has mattered more than you know. Please make a gift this Veterans Day and help veterans and others take that first step home. |
Thank you for believing in second chances. And for standing beside the heroes who’ve already given so much. Because saying thank you for your service is easy. But changing a life—takes all of us.
Warmly,

P.S. Your generosity reminds veterans and others facing life's most difficult times that someone still believes in them—and that’s where healing begins. We appreciate you being with us at VOA! |
