Voters passed Prop 50 and secured a major victory for fair representation and real democracy. That is something to celebrate, and it happened because people like you stood up and showed up.
But here is what it means for us: Prop 50 will make California’s 50th District more competitive. National groups and outside spending organizations are already signaling interest. They see this as an opportunity to flip a seat. We need to make sure they are wrong.
I have worked every day to support San Diego’s innovation economy, military families, affordable housing solutions, and clean energy jobs for our community. I am proud of that work, and I’m committed to continuing it. But to stay ahead, we need to start preparing now.
That means expanding our voter outreach in newly drawn areas, building our campaign resources before the attacks start, and growing a stronger grassroots base that can hold firm when the race tightens.
This is not the moment to wait. This is the moment to show strength.
