Message from the Chairman:

Our form of government is not perfect, but it is divinely inspired. It recognizes that freedom is best protected when authority is balanced, when accountability is clear, and when decisions are made by those elected to serve. This structure allows individuals, families, and communities to thrive under the protection of law and the blessing of liberty.

Over the last month, a number of Utahns across the state and I established “Utahns for Representative Government.” This entity has filed a direct initiative because we believe the structure of representative government is worth defending. The Constitution gives the Legislature—not unelected commissions—the duty to draw our state’s maps. Preserving that responsibility keeps decision-making close to the people and honors the system our founders established.

As we take time to reflect on the blessings around us, we recognize that our form of government is one of them. It is the system best suited to allow each of us to experience the fullness of God’s blessings. In gratitude for what we have been given, we must defend it, strengthen it, and ensure it remains a source of freedom and opportunity for generations to come.

Sincerely,

Robert Axson
Chairman, Utah Republican Party

Utah Republicans: Delivering Results and Leading Utah’s Future

Utah continues to prove that conservative leadership delivers real-world success. Thanks to Republican governance, Utah has been ranked No. 1 in the nation for economic outlook for eighteen consecutive years, it is among the top states for starting and growing a business, and recently led the country in real GDP growth. These results don’t happen by accident—they reflect principled policy, carefully stewarded by our Republican Legislature.

This year, Utah Republicans also took a courageous stand to protect the constitutional role of the Legislature in redistricting, pushing back against judicial activism and out-of-state interference. They improved the integrity of our elections by eliminating universal mail in voting and adding ID verification. They increased home affordability and focused on energy innovation and availability.

Heading into the next legislative session, Republicans are still focused on the critical issues that matter most to Utahns—from strengthening energy independence and preserving affordable power, to expanding school choice, enhancing cybersecurity protections for key infrastructure, defending access to voter registration data for election transparency, and advancing judicial and state governance reforms that keep power where it belongs: with the people.

Utah is thriving because Republican leaders make smart, forward-looking decisions rooted in freedom, responsibility, strong families, and limited government. That is why Utah leads America today—and will continue leading tomorrow.

Sincerely,
Stafford Palmieri Sievert
Secretary, Utah Republican Party
