Earlier this week, Politico reported that in the face of a global pandemic, drug companies have been steadily raising the cost of prescription drugs. In December, the House passed sweeping bipartisan legislation to lower drug costs and stop drug companies from taking advantage of hard-working families and seniors. But instead of fighting for lower drug costs, Rep. Ann Wagner caved to the special interest groups funding her campaign and voted against this critical legislation -- turning her back on her constituents. Now, with COVID-19 cases spiking across the country, this legislation has hit a roadblock in the Senate, and Mitch McConnell is even flatout refusing to bring the bill up for consideration. That’s not how our democracy is supposed to work, team. Tell the Senate that it’s time to stand up for hard-working families and seniors by passing legislation to lower prescription drug costs now >>
We need leaders in Washington who are willing to stand up to drug companies and fight for the people of our community. Jill will work hard to tackle rising health care costs and lower the price of prescription drugs. Thank you for standing with us on this important issue. --Team Schupp
