GLAAD’s recently released Where We Are on TV (WWATV) study finds an alarming number of LGBTQ-inclusive series are being cancelled or will not be returning. These shows are not just entertainment. They are also a critical bridge to acceptance. GLAAD’s research shows that inclusive storytelling in television increases familiarity and comfort with LGBTQ people. With anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and legislation on the rise, it is critical the media does not lose our stories. That’s why GLAAD is asking supporters like you to vote on which LGBTQ-inclusive TV series you want to stay on air. You can also write in a meaningful note about why this show is your pick! GLAAD has been advocating for fair and inclusive media for 40 years and will continue to do so until we achieve 100% LGBTQ acceptance. We will share the results and select testimonials to show the powerful support behind these essential stories. Voting closes on November 21 so cast your vote now! After you cast your vote, don’t forget to read the full WWATV study and learn more about this year’s findings. Thank you for standing with us and speaking out.
