# [#]Let’s be honest, John – If you showed up to work and couldn’t do your job, someone would notice. But in Congress, there’s no process, no transparency, and no accountability when that happens.

That is why I introduced an amendment to strengthen ethics standards related to Members’ cognitive ability. Voters deserve to know their elected representative is actually doing the job they were sent to do – not their staff.

I need to know where you stand on this issue, John. Take this short survey and share your thoughts about making Congress more transparent and accountable: [[link removed]]

This isn’t about age or partisanship. It’s about trust and good governance, and making sure the people you elect are the ones actually making decisions.

I hear it from neighbors and constituents all the time: they’re worried that some offices are being run by unelected staff instead of the representative voters chose. That’s a real problem.

My amendment would create a clear, bipartisan process for the Ethics Committee to review cases where a Member’s mental fitness seriously affects their ability to serve. It gives voters clarity, not chaos. Take our quick survey and let me know what you think: [[link removed]]

Whether it’s cutting through bureaucracy or calling out dysfunction, I’ll keep fighting for transparency, accountability, and a Congress that looks like the people it represents – working parents, people from the trades, and small business owners who understand what real life looks like.
