Hi John,

As I have been speaking with our supporters, I’ve been hearing one question a lot: Will there even be another election after this? I’ve been asked this enough times that I wrote about it in USA Today.

The short answer: President Trump isn’t canceling elections in 2026 — he’s preparing to manipulate them.

Tuesday was a crucial test of his power — and I’m thrilled to say democracy won the day. From coast to coast, voters turned out in record numbers to exercise their fundamental freedom to vote. Mainers rejected a ballot measure that would have dramatically restricted mail voting in the state. Pennsylvanians voted to keep state Supreme Court justices who issued multiple major decisions in favor of free and fair elections.

This week’s results reaffirm the strength and resilience of American elections — but they also highlight the importance of safeguarding them in the future. Even before polls closed, a familiar playbook was unfolding — with some declaring the process rigged, demanding new rules, or filing lawsuits seeking to overturn results. All without any proof to support their claims.

That’s where you come in.

In the coming year, thousands of state and local officials will face a choice: either be accomplices to Trump’s efforts to manipulate our elections, or stand firm in defense of the Constitution and the will of the voters. If we fight for it between now and Election Day 2026, they will make the right decision.

Thank you for being such an essential part of this work.

Warmly,

Samantha Tarazi, Co-Founder & CEO
