Yesterday, Trump broke his own record: this is officially the longest government shutdown in our country’s history (don’t worry, the second-longest shutdown also belongs to him). 

Did we mention Trump is denying court orders to pay SNAP benefits during this shutdown?

Makes you wonder where his Republican lackeys are while Americans struggle to put food on the table.

Oh right, they’re out schmoozing with their donors! 

In fact, Speaker Mike Johnson said Republicans are too busy doing “important work” to do their jobs in Washington and reopen the government. They’ll wine and dine the rich to get more funding before they even consider their hungry constituents. 

Republicans want to claim this shutdown is the fault of Democrats — but THEY control the legislative and executive branches of government. We can see through their BS, but we need to make sure voters across the country can, too.
