Here’s how we got here:

First, Trump and his crew pushed through their Big, Ugly Bill – the one with the largest cuts to SNAP in history. They gutted food assistance for working families, veterans, and kids.
|
|
Then, when the government shut down, Democrats tried to pass an emergency bill to keep food programs funded. Republicans blocked it – and left town.
|
|
Now, there are SNAP emergency funds that a judge ruled must be released immediately. Trump’s response? Pay half, maybe, sometime in the next few months. Meanwhile, kids are hungry.

We should NOT be playing political games with food stamps while working families, veterans, and kids pay the price.
