Dear John,
When my trafficker abandoned me eight and a half months pregnant, I was left alone on the street.
I had tried to get help before, but this time someone stepped in — a hospital social worker found me a place at a maternity home.
That connection saved my life. it wasn't just the shelter and counseling that helped me heal. It was the women who held out hope for me when I needed it most.
It takes a constellation of support to surround survivors on our journeys toward freedom. For more than two decades, Polaris has worked to make sure connections like that happen — helping survivors find safety, legal aid, and trusted care through a national network of partners.
But that network is under strain. As programs close and funding shrinks, access is getting harder and slower for many survivors.
Will you help keep those connections strong for survivors of human trafficking?
Through November 27, Thanksgiving Day in the U.S., your gift to Polaris will be doubled to ensure that survivors can continue to find safe housing, trusted care, legal help, and real pathways to healing.
