Today, the Supreme Court heard arguments in a case that could decide the future of Trump’s sweeping tariffs and with it, the balance of power over trade.

As a top Democrat on the Senate Commerce and Finance Committees, Maria Cantwell has been clear: Trump’s reckless trade war has hurt Washington’s workers, farmers, consumers, and businesses. It’s raised prices for families and handed unprecedented power to the executive branch at Congress’s expense.
