Were you following last night’s election? We had major news out of Virginia and New Jersey. We elected — by historic margins — two Governors who will focus on the cost of living, defending our values, and serving with an innovative mindset. In California, Prop 50 won easily, with almost 64% of voters stepping up for basic fairness — if Texas is going to redraw districts mid-cycle at the behest of the White House, California is going to match that effort and not allow Republicans to gain an unfair advantage. That’s protecting all of us — and taking a stand for basic fairness. I woke up this morning in brighter spirits, knowing that Americans are demanding a government that works for them and are taking a stand. And here in Denver, we both defeated Big Tobacco’s push to allow flavored vaping, and we passed an important Vibrant Denver bond initiative to invest in our city. I’m running to serve as our next Governor because I am ready to lead Colorado, I am committed to standing up against the lawless bullying of this administration, and I will lead the fight for affordable housing, child care, and energy in the cities and counties we all call home.
