John, it’s David here from SEEC PAC.
Yesterday’s election results sent a clear message: when Democrats speak directly to affordability, especially lowering energy prices, voters respond and we win.
We focused on three marquee races, and the results speak for themselves:
* Governor’s races in Virginia and New Jersey: Democrats won by putting cost of living and responsible energy policy front and center.
*
* In Georgia, we flipped two seats on the Public Service Commission, which is responsible for setting electricity rates in the state. Normally, races like these barely get any attention or coverage, but not this year. These races were top of the ballot, and the new Dem Commissioners won based on their pledge to unlock clean energy and control energy prices.

SUPPORT MORE CLIMATE CHAMPIONS » [[link removed]]We couldn’t be prouder of one of our own: Abigail Spanberger, a former SEEC Member, who will make history as Virginia’s first female Governor. Abigail’s leadership on climate, clean energy, and affordability in the House showed voters exactly what real solutions look like, and now she’s going to bring that same vision to the Governor’s office.
One of SEEC PAC’s core goals is to support strong climate champions in the House and help give them the experience they need to run for higher office and make a difference for our climate. Abigail’s win proves just how important and how effective that mission is!
Now it’s our turn to build on this momentum. SEEC PAC is already gearing up for 2026 to help more climate and affordability champions win, but we can’t do it without you.
Can you chip in today to help us get our winning message out to voters and support the next generation of SEEC leaders? [[link removed]]

Thanks to your help in 2024, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 119th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future. But if you'd like to receive fewer emails, we understand.
