How are you feeling after last night’s election? I’m incredibly happy that Democrats won across the board. I always go into Election Day with a healthy dose of skepticism, but man did it go even better than people had hoped!
Not only did we win the Governor’s races in New Jersey and Virginia, but voters here in California overwhelmingly passed Prop 50.
What really struck me wasn’t just that we won everywhere — it’s how much we won by. Democrats are outperforming in red and blue, rural and urban areas alike.
Yesterday proved that Democrats have a strong, diverse, big-tent coalition and when we show up to vote, we win.
We also saw that voters remain laser-focused on the top two issues: affordability and healthcare. It’s a reminder that it’s not enough just to be anti-Donald Trump — we have to clearly tell voters what Democrats will do to lower costs and protect healthcare if we take back the House next year.
I’ll be honest: I’m feeling a lot more hopeful about Democrats’ chances in 2026 than I did 24 hours ago. But we can’t take anything for granted. Our country is on the line, and we have to be ready for a tough fight.
