Hey folks, Cliff here — and holy hell, what a night!
I don’t throw around “historic” lightly, but what we just witnessed was a colossal beatdown of the GOP. Democrats swept the board, Trump’s hand-picked stooges got flattened, and Sean Hannity looked like someone just told him Santa was a socialist. That, my friends, is pure schadenfreude.
Now, I know we all love a good Republican meltdown reel — and yes, we’ll probably make one — but this moment isn’t just about gloating. It’s about recognizing that the American people are done with cruelty, corruption, and cosplay fascism. They want problem-solvers who actually give a damn.
And last night proved that Democrats — bold, authentic Democrats — can win on that message everywhere. If MAGA is paying attention, they’d better be learning that their Orange King can’t save them, and that they’re gonna need a bigger base.
My co-pilot David Shuster and I talked about what these results mean. It wasn’t just the wins — it was who we won with. From Mamdani’s fearless campaign to Mikie Sherrill’s double-digit victory in New Jersey, and Abigail Spanberger’s rout in Virginia, Democrats showed what happens when you connect with voters on values, not consultant-crafted buzzwords.
We even ran the math and there are roughly 150 House districts sitting at R+14 or less. That’s 150 seats within striking distance if we go big and stay real. Can you imagine a House with 300+ Democrats in it? I can—and I bet Donald is shitting his adult-sized Depends thinking about it.
It’s not rocket surgery—the keyword here is authenticity.
Our guest, the brilliant historian Dr. Stephanie G Wilson, PhD , absolutely nailed this point. Stephanie — whose Substack and podcast Freedom Over Fascism [ [link removed] ] you should all be reading and subscribing to — broke down how “authenticity” isn’t a performance. It’s about showing up, speaking like a human being, and making it clear that you see people.
She reminded us that Democrats don’t need to run scared; they need to speak from the gut about what’s broken — and how we’re going to fix it.

Together, we talked about how this could be another FDR moment. The economy’s rough, inequality is obscene, and people are craving structural change.
But that’s exactly when Democrats can lead with vision — not small-ball “tax credits,” but big, bold reforms: protecting democracy, getting corporate money out of politics, guaranteeing health care, and feeding our damn kids.

We’ve got the wind at our backs, folks. The math is there. The people are there. All that’s left is to stay loud, stay proud, and fight like hell for every single seat. Because 2026 isn’t just another midterm — it’s our shot to make history again.
Join us to fight fascism and to keep this democracy alive.
