This is heartbreaking, friend.

There are 3.5 million Texans who rely on SNAP, including 1.7 million children. But right now, Senate Republicans like John Cornyn are playing politics, holding these benefits hostage in the hopes that Democrats cave in and let them push their agenda and raise health care costs by allowing ACA tax credits to expire.

It's not just heartbreaking; it's cruel, unnecessary, and unacceptable. Texas families deserve better. 

Colin knows what it's like to be one unexpected hardship away from food insecurity. He was raised by a single mom and grew up watching her work multiple jobs and count every penny to get them from week to week, swiping her teacher's union debit card at the grocery store and praying the charge would go through.
