One year ago, Upstate New Yorkers came together to flip this seat and elect Josh. Now, with a year to go until the midterm elections, we wanted to take a moment to give you an update on our toss-up race in New York’s 19th District.
This is a highly competitive race. Cook Political Report, Sabato’s Crystal Ball, and Inside Elections have all listed NY-19 among the most competitive House races in the nation. National Republicans have also listed Josh as one of their top targets.
We have an opponent. Republican Peter Oberacker jumped into the race last month. He’s running to double down on Trump’s plan to raise costs for working families and will be bolstered by the GOP’s massive war chest.
Holding this seat is critical. Taking back the House next November starts with holding toss-up seats like Josh’s. If we want any chance of regaining the majority and stopping Trump’s agenda, we need to keep NY-19 blue.
