Last night voters across the country sent a clear message. They stood for fairness, accountability, and leadership that delivers results. From New Jersey to Virginia , from New York City to Pennsylvania and Mississippi , Americans rejected extremism and supported candidates who put people first.

Key victories:
•New Jersey and Virginia: Mikie Sherrill and Abigail Spanberger won the governorships in their states. Both women bring experience, leadership, and a focus on affordability and opportunity. Their victories are proof that voters respond to competence and vision.
•New York City: Zohran Mamdani won a historic mayoral race, becoming the city’s first Muslim, first South Asian, and youngest mayor in more than a century. His campaign mobilized young voters and progressive communities around affordability, equity, and local leadership.
•Pennsylvania: Voters retained three Democratic justices on the state supreme court , protecting judicial independence and fair maps. These elections matter for democracy and elections across the state.
•Mississippi: Democrats flipped multiple legislative seats and broke the GOP supermajority in the state Senate. These gains show that progress is possible even in traditionally red states.
•Virginia: Our 50-for-50 target, Geary Higgins, was defeated . Identifying and exposing the most vulnerable anti-LGBTQ+ incumbents is exactly what our modeling is built to do, and this cycle validated our approach.
2025 was a proving ground for our strategy. We did not engage in major spending this year, but our research and modeling demonstrated where accountability mattered most and where voters were ready to act.
Now, all eyes turn to 2026. Nearly every state will hold major statewide elections, shaping the next decade of LGBTQ+ rights and democratic governance. Agenda PAC already has nearly 40 targets identified , and we will be updating our 50-for-50 slate to complete the national picture after this week’s elections.

Change happens one seat at a time, in every state. Last night showed us what is possible. In 2026, we will scale our efforts and hold those who threaten equality accountable everywhere.
